These terms apply to your use of the OakStoneDigital website and to any web design or related services we agree to provide. They are maintained by the business owner. If we send you a written project quotation or proposal that includes additional terms, those additional terms will apply to that project alongside these.
1. About us
OakStoneDigital is a freelance web design business trading in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at oakstonedigital.uk@gmail.com or on 07519 326 275.
2. Using this website
You may view and use this website for lawful, personal or business purposes. You must not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with its normal operation. Content on the site is provided in good faith for information only and may be updated at any time.
3. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the design, text and images on this website are owned by OakStoneDigital or used with permission. You may not copy, republish or use them for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. The concept portfolio pieces on this site are unbranded illustrative designs and do not represent real client work.
4. Services and quotations
The starter package price and inclusions shown on this website are a guide. A binding agreement is formed only once we send you a written quotation or proposal for your project and you confirm acceptance in writing (including by email). We reserve the right to decline any enquiry or project.
5. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a 50% deposit is payable before work begins and the balance is due on launch. Ongoing costs such as domain renewal and hosting after the first year are billed separately and are payable in advance. Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
6. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing the content (text, images, logos) we need to build the site, and for confirming that you have the rights to use it. Timelines assume timely provision of content and feedback. We can quote separately for content writing or photography if needed.
7. Revisions, changes and delays
The starter package includes one round of revisions before launch. Additional revisions or scope changes will be quoted separately. If a project is inactive on your side for more than 30 days we may pause work; if it is inactive for more than 90 days we may close the project and invoice for work completed to date.
8. Ownership on completion
On full payment of the project fee, ownership of the final website files, code and content produced specifically for you transfers to you. Third-party components (such as fonts, stock images, plugins and hosting) remain subject to their own licences.
9. Warranties and limitations
We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee any particular ranking on search engines or any specific volume of enquiries or sales — these depend on many factors outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of a project is limited to the fees paid by you for that project in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
10. Termination
Either party may end an engagement in writing if the other has materially breached these terms and has not put things right within 14 days of being asked. On termination, you are responsible for fees for work completed up to the termination date.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer if you are contracting with us as a consumer rather than a business.
